Robbinsdale High School was completed in time for 1600 students to walk through the front doors on September 14th, 1936. The building was dedicated with impressive ceremonies on May 19th, 1937. The first principal, Milo Mielke remained in the position until his retirement in 1968.
This is the 13th in a series of posts featuring Dorthy Hartig’s History of Robbinsdale. This informal account was written for the Robbinsdale Library Club in 1948. A copy was placed Lee’s School’s cornerstone time capsule the following year. The Robbinsdale High School on Regent Avenue North is pictured at the top of the post.
