March Membership Meeting Minutes

MEMBERSHIP MEETING OF MARCH 27, 2018

President Diane Jacobson McGee opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Secretary Carolyn Lageson highlighted our February and March Board meeting Minutes

Treasurer Dean Cummings said we are “bringing in more money than we are spending”.

Our Gallery Show in the Robbin Art Gallery last month was declared a huge success and served as an opening to Robbinsdale’s Quaquicentennal (125th) anniversary of our town. Diane said many told us that it was enjoyable and enlightening and wished it had lasted a longer time. February, being such a short month that if/when we do this again we will advertise this event earlier, she said. Many thanks were given to those who made this event happen.

BOARD MEMBERS AND OTHERS We need persons who are interested in becoming Board Members or helping our in other ways. Members were told to look for form and information sheets that are available. Diane suggested members should take one of these forms home and consider being a part of our leadership. We also need a person ersons who would be willing to host the museum on Saturdays so Rollie Heywood can take a day off every now and then.

Our guest speaker for this meeting was Bill McReavy of Washburn McReavy Funeral Homes. Mr.

McReavy gave a history of their organization which began before Minnesota became a State. He left us with several pictures with their history.
