Object history
Object history note This file contains an extensive record of the First
Congregational Church artifacts There are several reproduced
photos of the church’s exterior, as well as some different
groups within the church, including a choir and picnic
photo. There are also several newpaper articles, both
original and photocopied, that explain the churchs history
dating back to 1891, and including several names associated
with the church. There are also four different recollections
about the church, including “How It Was,” describing the
beginning of the Church, as well as the 60th anniversary
history of the church, and an old church roster from its
days in the nineteenth century. There are also several
booklets about the church’s history as well as two original
programs from weekly church services. There is also a
photocopy of a Sunday school record book that is from
1897-98. Added is a written recollection from a Lyla Mary
Sargent that talks about past Robbinsdale and refers to a
photocopy of a newspaper article that depicts Memorial Day
services with the First Congregational Church in the
background.
