One of the most attractive buildings in Robbinsdale is the Parker School, which was erected some ten years since at a cost of about ten thousand dollars, by the school district. It is built of brick, in a most substantial manner throughout; two stories, with a good basement, and a play room for the pupils in the attic. The building is heated with steam. It is a graded school of eight departments, comprising four rooms, under the principalship of Mrs. Lena Rogers, who is assisted by Miss Isabel Currie, first primary, Miss Frankie Pollard, second primary, and Miss Julia Casey, intermediate. The enrollment is one hundred and sixty, and the number of graduates last year ten. graduates are fitted to enter the high schools of Minneapolis, where many of them have acquitted themselves most creditably. Parker School ranks A1 among the graded schools of the state. The equipment of the school is first class, maps, charts, and all the accessories for complete and thorough instruction being provided. The school has an excellent library. The efficient janitor of the building is Williar Benj. Coote.
