Due to the pressures of an increasing number of students a new Robbinsdale High School opened at Toledo Avenue North and 37th. Principal Milo Mielke moved to the building and the sprawling complex of buildings on Regent Avenue North (above) became Robbinsdale Junior High. Mark T. Woodward became the principal and served until his retirement in 1974. Woodward worked to get programs started for children with disabilities. The old Parker School portion of the sprawling school was torn down and replaced with a new wing in 1970. Mr. Woodward retired in 1974. The school was closed in 1979.
I’m looking for information about the rifle club I was a member of during my 8th and 9th grade at the middle school,
I am wondering where mr hughes, choir teacher back in the 70’s, went when he left the junior high school.
I’m looking for photos of the interior of the school from 1963-1965. There was a bas relief at the bottom of a short stairway that had an inspiring quote that helped me endure the misery of junior high. It may have been where the old south section joined the newer north section .
Why does it say the high school was demolished when it is still standing and being utilized today yet?
