We bet you’ve heard the iconic 1963 hit “Surfin’ Bird” by The Trashmen. These rockers, who formed in 1962, hail from Robbinsdale, a town bursting with famous Minnesotans like wrestling legend Vern Gagne and award-winning baker Marjorie Johnson. Minnesota Live’s photojournalist Bill Middeke takes us on a journey through the Robbinsdale Historical Society, this week’s Must-see Museum.
The Robbinsdale Historical Society is open Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00am to 3:00pm. There’s often free coffee and always a volunteer to show you around.
Thank you for all you do Pete to preserve Robbinsdale History!
My pleasure, Mary!
