An Ordinance Relative to Fire Works, and to Prevent the Unlawful Discharge of Firearms

The Village Council of Robbinsdale do ordain as follows:

SECTION 1. No person shall hereafter fire off, discharge or explode any gun, pistol or other weapon upon any street, alley, avenue, lane or public place in said village, except as provided hereinafter in this ordinance.

SEC. 2. No person or persons shall discharge firearms or trespass with dogs or guns in any part of said village without a permit from the Village Council; such permit shall be in writing.

SEC. 3. Nothing in this ordinance shall be construed to embrace any firing of a gun, pistol, or other species of firearms, when done in the lawful defense of person, property and family, or in the necessary enforcement of the laws.

SEC. 4. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance, shall, upon conviction thereof before the village court or any justice of said village, for each and every offense be punished by a fine of not less than one (1) dollar nor more than fifty (50) dollars and costs of prosecution, and be imprisoned until such fine and costs be paid, not exceeding ninety (90) days.

SEC. 5. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect  and after its date of publication.
